Theme:
"Down the well" will be centered around the Red House arcs of TBHK/JSHK, which mainly took/take place around the chapters 72 to 82 and the new timeline chapters of ~117 to 127(-ish, technically as of writing this text the Red House arc is still on going).Anything related to the story line will be included - be it the surprising meeting of Nene, Kou and baby Tsukasa, Kou traversing the maze of the Red House or the newest horrors of the Red House curse and its effects on Amane and Nene.

  • General Information:

  • The zine will be digital and free to download for anyone who wants to enjoy it

  • It will include artworks and written stories

  • The zine will be SFW

  • While being SFW, the zine will include topics and themes that go in tandem with the Red House arcs, such as violence and horror - but nothing too explicit

General Application Information:

  • This zine will be open for anyone to join, regardless of their skill level or preferences in fictional content (Or to be blunt: pro/anti-shippers are free to join as long as they can behave around each other. You are not required to interact with each other but you need to be ok to share a space with each other.)

  • Applicants are allowed to apply for multiple roles (writer and artist), but will only be chosen for one

  • TBHK/JSHK examples are encouraged, but are not required for application

  • Samples don't need to be made specifically for the application, however recent works are encouraged to better judge the skill level

  • A/I generated "art" will not be accepted as example and will instantly disqualify your application

Artists:

  • To apply you will need to provide us a portfolio link or any kind of website/ social media that shows us your artworks

  • You can share us additional artworks directly in the form too if necessary

  • The samples should be representative of your art style and what would be to expect from you in the zine

  • Artworks with simple backgrounds are ok, but at least one piece with a more detailed background is encouraged

  • Traditional art is allowed, but make sure you can scan your piece properly to make it match with the quality of digitally made art

  • While the zine itself will be SFW, your portfolio can include NSFW artworks to show your skill

  • Sample artworks will be evaluated by anatomy, color usage and composition

Writers:

  • To apply you will need to provide us a portfolio link (ao3) or any kind of website/ social media that shows us your writings

  • You can share us additional writings directly in the form too if necessary

  • Your samples can be cut outs of bigger works (max 1,5k words) and don't need to have a conclusive ending - however they should be representative of your style and what to expect as part of the zine

  • While the zine itself will be SFW, your portfolio can include NSFW writings to show your skill

  • Samples will be evaluated on style, grammar, and characterization

  • start July 2025 - Inception and Interest check

  • 18th July - 1st September 2025 - Applications open

  • ~3rd-ish September 2025 - Notification about results

  • 10th September 2025 - Prompts assigned to the creators

  • 10th September 2025 - Creation Phase starts

  • October 2025 - Check in

  • 15th December 2025 - Finishing of Creation Phase

  • December 2025 - Formatting and publication

  • 25th December 2025 - Publication
